Welcome to Malwin Foods
Welcome to Malwin Cosmetics and Food, a Ghanaian-based enterprise dedicated to fair trade practices and green economy initiatives. Specializing in climate-sensitive agroforestry farming and organic food processing, we prioritize sustainable production that directly benefits communities in need.
Our journey into the cosmetics, food, and spices business was inspired by a familial history of breast cancer. The loss of loved ones due to lack of access to locally made organic products fueled our commitment to producing and promoting healthy, Made in Ghana goods.
Malwin product range are available on Walmart online stores, Rabito Clinic in Ghana, selected shops within Ghana, and various African countries. We offer customizable options for birthdays, funerals, corporate events, personalized gift sets, and naming ceremonies.
Skincare lies at the heart of Malwin cosmetics, formulated with active ingredients from the shea tree (vitellaria paradoxa of the Sapotaceae family plant or Butyrospermum parkii). Shea butter sourced sustainably from West Africa not only enhances natural complexion but also supports over the numerous women employed along the shea supply chain. This “women’s gold” empowers more than 470,000 women farmers in northern Ghana through picking and processing activities.
Shea butter is rich in essential nutrients, beneficial for both skincare and culinary purposes. Its versatility underscores its value as a natural ingredient supporting local livelihoods while offering nourishing properties for consumers.
Low in proteins that do not trigger allergies, it is safe for all skin types. With its high concentration of vitamins A, E, and F, shea butter promotes strong antioxidant activity supporting anti-aging. Its fatty acids, combined with its easy-to-spread consistency, make it a great product for smoothing, soothing, and conditioning your skin.
Shea butter is an excellent moisturizing emollient that contains collagen, linoleic, oleic, stearic, and palmitic acids that are rapidly absorbed into your skin acting as a cell regenerating and “refatting” agent, restoring lipids and rapidly creating moisture. Shea butter also contains triglycerides and cetyl esters that work deep in the skin restoring the barrier between your skin and the outside environment, holding moisture in, and reducing your risk of dryness. This leaves the skin feeling soft, smooth, and refreshed. It helps fight breakouts, helps soothe muscle soreness, and relieves nasal congestion.
A rich source of vitamin E, shea butter tightens the skin around the breast area giving it a firmer look. Used as a massage oil, it can prevent cell damage due to free radicals. Apply shea butter on your breast and massage in a circular motion for about 15 minutes twice weekly to help prevent or detect breast cancer early. Use after breast and other surgeries due to its anti-inflammatory properties that soothe skin problems.
Shea butter’s anti-inflammatory properties may also be beneficial for those with joint and muscle pain. Apply on your feet and hands to help with hand/ foot syndrome that may develop from cancer.
Cooking with Nutritious Shea Butter
Shea butter, a natural vegetable fat, is not only edible but also rich in monounsaturated fats that can help lower LDL cholesterol levels. By incorporating shea butter into your cooking, you can reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases and benefit from its vitamins and anti-inflammatory properties.
Unlike some imported vegetable oils whose sources may be challenging to trace, using nutritious shea butter adds essential vitamins and nutrients to your meals. Opting for authentic shea butter sourced from Ghana ensures transparency in what you consume, making it a reliable choice for enhancing both the flavor and nutritional value of your dishes.
Malwin sheabutter is grade A and unrefined.
Our range includes groundnut paste and groundnut oil, offering antioxidant properties that combat free radicals, protecting normal skin cells. Peanuts are rich in vitamin E, lowering the risk of various cancers like stomach, colon, lung, liver, and breast cancer.
Niacin-rich peanuts aid in managing cholesterol levels. Groundnut oil is packed with healthy fats, protein, dietary fiber, and mono-saturated fatty acids beneficial for heart health by reducing cholesterol levels.
We also produce cayenne pepper flakes and powdered pepper known for their digestive benefits. Cayenne aids digestion by increasing production of digestive fluids and enzymes while providing stomach protection against infections.
Capsaicin found in cayenne may help lower high blood pressure, reducing the risk of heart disease. Studies suggest cayenne pepper can alleviate pain from conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia joint pain, migraines, diabetic neuropathy in legs and feet, as well as lower back injuries and osteoarthritis discomfort.
